How does laser really work when it comes to removing brown spots?
Good Question,
First of all people forget that the brown spots are damage you picked up as child. The skin is very forgiving so every time you sunburned your skin it felt painful for a couple of days and then you forgot all about it. However not the skin, it kind of recorded it deep down and when you turn 40, 50 or 60 the brown spots start appearing. Yes from way back then! So laser helps get rid of the brown on the surface, we cannot get rid of them forever, they are with you until the day you die. All we can do is get them off the surface.
There are many ways to work with them, there are peels, fading creams and laser. When working with either of these treatments they take several treatments. One or two is not going to do it, due to the fact that the damage is not just on the surface.
Some people have this crazy idea that they can get results with fading creams, which by the way takes up to 6 months to a year to see results and peels maybe two and then there laser, the results are better BUT with 6 treatments no one or two. At the end of the day all we are doing is trying to control them.
